Iran and Russia signed the executive contract of the Rasht-Astara railway.
According to the Ministry of Roads and Urban Planning: On the sidelines of the Tripartite Meeting of Iran, India and Russia, which was hosted by Iran with the participation of 13 countries to facilitate traffic in the North-South Corridor, the Executive Agreement of the Rasht-Astara project was signed between the two countries of Iran and Russia.
 

The agreement on the executive contract of the Rasht-Astara project was signed by the companies introduced by the two countries of Iran and Russia, and according to the vice president of transport of the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development, the design of this project was completed at the end of 2023 and its implementation will begin at the beginning of 2024. .
In this contract, the duration of the project, the rules and conditions for implementing the project, the guarantees, etc. are specified, and with its implementation, Iranian and Russian groups will be deployed in the project.
The duration of the implementation of this project is estimated at 3-4 years.
The tripartite meeting between Iran, India and Russia aimed at facilitating transit along the North-South corridor was held today in Tehran in the presence of Russian and Indian officials and ambassadors from the countries of the sea Caspian, Persian Gulf and Arabian Sea. , moderated by Mehrdad Bazarpash, Minister of Roads and Urban Development.
