Emphasizing that Iran pursues its rights and interests regarding the Arash gas field, he said: if there is no will for understanding and cooperation, Iran will include the rights and interests as well as the exploitation and exploration of the resources mentioned in its program and no damage will be done. On the sidelines of the joint oil and gas field plan and project review meeting, Javad Oji added on the Arash joint gas field: The Islamic Republic of Iran always supports the amicable settlement of border and maritime issues with his neighbors.
He continued: When it comes to the development of joint oil and gas fields, we have always taken the path of negotiation and understanding with our neighbours. Regarding the Arash field, Iran wants an integrated and joint operation.
It is worth mentioning that the Arash gas field is located on the common maritime border of Iran and Kuwait and this field is shared by the three countries of Iran, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia.
