According to a report, Hossein Amirabdollahian, our country's Foreign Minister, explained the details of the negotiations and expressed common views during a joint press conference with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey, Hakan Fidan, after having met and discussed with his Turkish counterpart.
During this meeting, Amir Abdollahian said: We had good and useful discussions with the Honorable Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey regarding the follow-up to the agreements of the recent meeting between the presidents of the two countries in Tehran.
We had detailed but fruitful discussions on all aspects of bilateral cooperation.
First, we looked at the full implementation of the comprehensive program of cooperation between Tehran and Ankara.

Recently, the economic deputy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs made a trip to Ankara and there were good agreements between the two delegations in terms of trade. We agree that the update of the preferential trade document, in the field of transit routes between the two countries, is not the cause of competition between the two countries.
We believe that in addition to the various issues that exist on the agenda between the two countries, we should have consular issues due to the high volume of traffic between the two countries.
While expressing his satisfaction with the holding in Ankara of the meeting of the committee for the transfer of convicts between the two countries, he said: I hope that the citizens of the two countries will correctly and carefully follow the laws of the destination country when their travels.
In the question of the Caucasus, we believe that the time has come to move from the period of tension and conflict to the period of peace and tranquillity.
We welcome the negotiations between Baku and Yerevan and also stress that we will not accept any geopolitical changes or any rupture between Iran and its neighbors.
In the follow-up to yesterday's talks, issues in the region were discussed, including Turkey's concerns over the common border and the fight against terrorism.
