Tehran-Riyadh discuss common squares.
A member of the parliamentary energy committee said: A member of the Energy Commission of the Islamic Council said: Unlike the previous government, the Ministry of Oil in the 13th government is trying to peacefully resolve the disputes in the case of the Arash oil and gas field by resuming relations with the Saudi Arabia and conducting joint negotiations with Riyadh. and Sanaa.

Malik Shariati Niaser spoke about the actions of the 13th government to take advantage of the Arash joint oil and gas field: in joint oil fields like Arash and others, the country's foreign policy, actions of the Ministry of Oil, policy issues international. the law and the type of relations with the linked countries They are determining, and in fact, its management is a meta-device.
He said that the Energy Committee of Parliament wants to accelerate the exploitation of these joint fields and added: "The Ministry of Petroleum of the 13th government persists in this area to compensate for the shortcomings of the previous governments in the field of common oil . and gas fields."
The representative of the people of Tehran in the Islamic Council, stating that the Ministries of Oil and Foreign Affairs of the 13th Government are seriously following the consultations and diplomatic measures for the exploitation of the common Arash field (the common blue oil field between the Iran, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait), said: The government's attitude in this area is to create new capital for future generations, which is considered very valuable and respectable.
Shariati stressed that the formation of a commission to monitor the exploitation of the common fields was on the agenda of the parliament's energy committee.
Referring to the disputes that arose between Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Iran due to the previous government on the issue of the joint Arash oil and gas field, he recalled that the delay and slowness of the previous government in resolving disputes over common oil fields had led to complications in some countries. problems in this area, but the Ministry of Petroleum of the 13th government must deal with this issue peacefully along with the development of offshore refineries and has drawn up necessary plans for this purpose.
Shariati said that the reason for some differences between the Islamic Republic of Iran, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait regarding the joint Arash oil field was the previous government's lack of efforts to resolve misunderstandings and added: Well that the 11th and 12th governments did not care about these fields, the 13th government in Resuming relations with Saudi Arabia and negotiations between Sanaa, Riyadh and Tehran, efforts are being made to peacefully resolve the disputes in the case of the Arash oil and gas field (Al-Dura).
The member of the Parliament's Energy Committee noted that the 13th government has taken important steps in the field of development of offshore refineries, oil sales, development of the most important phases of South Pars and the improvement of the country's gas infrastructure, and certainly in the near future the Arash Ham oil field will be used with The cooperation of two other countries is carried out.
According to IRNA, the Arash joint oil and gas field is located in the northern Persian Gulf and its natural gas reserves are approximately 20 trillion cubic feet, and the crude oil reserves in this field are estimated at around 310 million barrels. and Iran's share is around 40%.
The breakdown in relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Saudi Arabia for seven years has sometimes led the Kuwaiti government, by abusing the tension between Iran and the Saudis over Arash Square, to ally itself with Riyadh in order to improve its diplomatic power. to resolve the problem with Iran. On the other hand, taking into account the Iranian "Khark" and "Fikle" islands in Kuwait, as well as the existence of a common neutral zone between Kuwait and Saudi Arabia, the agreement on the place of Arash has become complicated and, according to some experts, is the most complicated political geography, it includes all the seas in the world.
This is despite the fact that in recent years Kuwait has determined a new border line using the results of seismography carried out by the Shell company, which claims that the entire building in Arash Square is located in the Arab sector, but this border line has not yet been accepted by Iran.
Furthermore, in March 2022, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia signed an agreement to share the resources of the Arash gas field, which provoked protest from the Islamic Republic of Iran; As a result, Kuwait's Foreign Minister announced that the Arash oil and gas field is a three-way field between Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Iran.
Also, in recent months and within the 13th government and with the acceleration of the process of normalization of relations between Iran and Saudi Arabia, hope has been formed that the two countries will find a solution for the exploitation of this energy deposit in the Persian Gulf. in addition to solving various problems.
