Iran's doors are open to foreign investment.
The Minister of the Economy announced: The Iranian Minister of Economy said at the World Investment Forum (WIF): Iran, while welcoming the orientation of foreign investments towards the implementation of projects based on sustainable development, welcomes the entry of foreign investors into the country and encourages and supports investors. according to Existing legal provisions attempt.

According to the public relations report of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Finance, Seyyed Ahsan Khandozi, in a speech at the World Investment Forum (WIF) in Abu Dhabi, discussed the requirements for achieving sustainable investment in the current world order and the measures taken by the Islamic Republic of Iran to attract foreign investments in accordance with the above-mentioned requirements.
The Minister of the Economy recalled: Concerning sustainable investment, several definitions were presented, all of which focus on the question of investment.
However, the operational realization of this type of investment in the current world order comes with requirements and conditions.
Khandoozi defined these requirements as including the three conditions of being humane, strategic and having predictable benefits and continued: sustainable investment must be humane; In the sense of considering man as a precious concept leading to the progress and evolution of human society.
He added: Regardless of the fact that foreign investment, by creating the basis for the formation of communication between people from different countries, in addition to increasing the economic entanglement of humanity, leads to greater convergence in the circulation of technology and technical and management knowledge. When it can be considered as having a double importance in the circle of sustainable investment, relying on important human issues and responding to the requirements linked to them such as climate change or the balanced development of the countries of the world, it opens the way to prosperity for all. human beings thanks to the development of technology and economic progress.
The Minister of Economy underlined: Another aspect of a humane approach to sustainable investment is to pay attention to the fair and equal treatment of countries and to avoid political behavior, which in practice leads to depriving certain parts of societies human rights of the facilities that countries can offer. Using common resources. All nations are created to improve the lives of humanity.
Stressing that sustainable investment must be strategic and in line with the development model and macroeconomic strategies of the host country, he added: Therefore, defining sustainable investment without considering its functions in the host country's development plan will not lead to actually achieving the result.
This means that in explaining the criteria for sustainable development and formulating a plan for their achievement, attention to the operational, cultural, historical and strategic contexts in which these plans are to be implemented plays a fundamental and decisive role.
Khandozi clarified: Finally, investment is a behavior calculated and based on profit in itself, and therefore the realization of the profits expected from investors (which can be different depending on the nature of the investment and the origin of the investor ). In addition to paying attention to the above-mentioned macroeconomic issues, another condition is the realization of sustainable investments.
The Minister of Economy announced: Keeping these functions in mind, I propose to make joint investments through the attraction of international financial resources by the countries of the region in areas such as solving the problem of fine dust, management of water resources, creation of new and renewable energies. , and the equitable extraction of hydrocarbon resources can be included in the common agenda of countries and international development organizations in the region where we are present.
Regarding the actions of the Islamic Republic of Iran to comply with the above-mentioned requirements in the economic field, he highlighted the text of Article 50 of the Constitution and added: based on this principle, in the Islamic Republic, environmental protection in which the current generation and future generations should have a growing social life is considered a public duty.
Therefore, economic and other activities associated with environmental pollution or irreparable destruction are prohibited; This Principe clearly shows the importance of protecting the environment and improving people's lives while protecting the common heritage of humanity in the most fundamental elements of the intellectual and legal system of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The Minister of Economy said: In this regard, Iran's five-year development plans also paid special attention to issues related to sustainable investment.
And in the law of the 7th five-year development plan, currently being developed, this attention has been increased so that several paragraphs of the general policies of the program are devoted to issues related to sustainable development.
