According to Farina, quoted by the Al-Watan newspaper, during this meeting, Ali bin Masoud Al-Sunaidi, head of the Organization of Special Economic Zones and Free Zones of Oman, and "Hujjatullah Abdul Maliki", advisor to the president and the Secretary of the Supreme Council of Free Trade, Industrial and Special Economic Zones of Iran reviewed the implementation of trade and economic agreements between the two countries.
This year, the Organization of Special Economic Zones and Free Zones of Oman signed a memorandum of understanding with the Supreme Council of Free Trade, Industrial and Economic Zones of Iran in the field of encouraging economic development and investment and increasing the competitive advantages of free and special economic zones in both countries.
Previously, the Secretary of the Supreme Council of Free and Special Economic Zones of Iran, on January 21 last year (1401), in a meeting with the Ambassador of Oman, emphasized the need to accelerate the process of signing a joint cooperation agreement. between the free zones of the two countries.
Hojatullah Abdulmaleki said that initial agreements have been reached and good progress has been made for the development of joint free zones between the two countries, and said: We believe that trade relations between the two countries can be much higher than the current figures and that the signing of the above-mentioned memorandum will contribute to the development of Iran's trade and economic relations, and Oman will have a tangible and significant impact.
The Secretary of the Supreme Council of Free and Special Economic Zones, pointing out that Iran's exports to Oman in 1400 were twice as long as the previous one, said: In addition to creating opportunities for investors, cooperation between free movement zones of the two countries These zones can increase the exports and imports of Iran and Oman much more than develop the past and provide the basis for increased employment and investment in these areas.
