Referring to the cooperation of some countries in the region to create new access corridors to Europe and Central Asia and reduce demand transiting through Iran, he said: It seems that the achievement of the objectives defined in the North-South corridor should be achieved by taking effective measures with the approach of increasing competitiveness and logistics power, integration, continuous improvement of processes, standardization, reduction of formalities at entry and exit points of the country and the establishment of a border strategy considering that the border is only a place of passage, improvement of the infrastructural situation as well as continuous efforts and consultations and to accelerate over time in the field of diplomacy.
Economic and logistical capacities of the Makran coastal region
Shahraki described the Makran coastal region as having many capabilities in strategic, economic and logistical dimensions, especially in the field of sea-oriented development, such as transportation, energy, tourism and marine food resources, and underlined: this region is considered one of the serious priorities of the country's spatial development.
He said: Considering the operational scope of the development of the Makran coast in Sistan-Baluchestan and Hormozgan provinces and the position of these provinces in the international north-south corridor, the Ashgabat Quadrilateral Agreement between the countries of Iran, Oman, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, the tripartite agreement between the countries of Iran, India and Afghanistan and the development document of the eastern axis of the country, the development of Makran region will definitely contribute to the prosperity of the national and international economy, therefore the Makran region development document was approved and announced.
He added: In order to achieve the objectives compiled in this document, all relevant and interested institutions and institutions should design and implement their implementation plans with a feasibility approach and strong stakeholder participation in order to assist to effective and efficient investment in the internal and external sectors and to actualize them. He said: Considering the importance of this region, increasing the logistics capacity of Makran coastal ports by attracting investors, the policy of the Highways and Road Transport Organization in order to create a competitive international network , secure and innovative with the aim of facilitating the performance of supply chains for regional markets.
