More than 80% self-sufficiency in equipment for the petrochemical industry

Iran therefore has 30 percent of the region's petrochemical industry, and globally this statistic reaches 2.7 to 3 percent in the case of major petrochemicals.
He said: Petrochemicals is an industry with advanced and modern technology and it can be considered as one of the scientific and technical industries among the industries in the country.

The Energy Commission spokesperson said: According to plans, the capacity of the petrochemical industry will reach 200 million tons per year, from the current 90 million tons, in the next 10 years.

Stating that the development of the petrochemical industry cannot be achieved without paying attention to knowledge-based enterprises and the use of modern technologies, he said: In the past two years, special attention has been paid to enterprises based on knowledge, but there are still many unexplored avenues.
