During the opening ceremony of the 7th International Exhibition of Transportation, Logistics and Related Industries, held this morning at the Imam Khomeini (RA) Shrine, Shahriar Efendizadeh, Deputy Minister of Transport, of Roads and Urban Development, congratulated the Transport Week and said: In this exhibition, 316 public and private companies and more than 85 knowledge-based companies are present.
According to Effendizadeh, today's transportation problem is the infrastructure of economic problems and concerns all people on a daily basis, so knowing the needs of the transportation field and using technologies to meet these needs has a great impact on the people's lives.
The Deputy Minister of Transport for Roads and Urban Development said: Iran can take advantage of the created opportunity and play a major role in domestic and international transportation thanks to its favorable position in the field of international transportation.
He added: Today, transit corridors are of great importance and all countries seek to allocate a significant share in these corridors, because transit corridors can lead to the creation of logistics corridors which provide a place for centers distribution of goods and increase the productivity of this sector. . .
Efendizadeh continued: The creation of logistics corridors leads to the creation of trade corridors and facilitates the flow of trade.
He added: Iran is located at the intersection of corridors and has many access roads that should be used.
The Deputy Minister of Transport, Roads and Urban Development emphasized: This exhibition is a place to present needs, then find solutions and meet these needs.
Referring to the "Iran Rah" initiative of the Minister of Roads and Urban Development, he said: "In recent years, good steps have been taken in the field of corridors and major projects have been defined."
Referring to the existence of 2,500 kilometers of maritime borders and 6,500 kilometers of land borders, Efendizadeh said: Iran has maritime and land borders with 13 countries.

He added: In the approach of the 13th government, the emphasis is on using these opportunities, but we are looking for an economic model such as attracting capital from the private sector and providing resources in the field of transport.
Ultimately, Efendizadeh said: This exhibition is the largest transportation exhibition in the country, organized annually with the support of the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development.
