At the same time, OPEC's total production in 2023 decreased by 630,000 barrels compared to the previous year and reached 26,890,000 barrels per day.
The previous year, OPEC produced 27,520,000 barrels of oil per day.
According to this report, despite continued illegal US sanctions, Iran recorded the largest increase in oil production among OPEC members in 2023.
Of the 12 OPEC members, 7 countries faced a drop in production this year, one country's production remained stable and 4 other countries, including Iran, faced an increase in production .
In addition to Iran, Libya's production increased this year by 170,000 barrels per day, Nigeria's by 140,000 barrels per day and Venezuela's by 50,000 barrels per day.
Saudi Arabia recorded a drop in production this year, with the result that the country's oil production fell by 890,000 barrels and reached 9.54 million barrels per day.
This year, UAE oil production fell by 100,000 barrels and Iraqi oil production by 130,000 barrels per day.
On this basis, Saudi Arabia will be the largest producer in OPEC in 2023, followed by Iraq with a production of 4,320,000 barrels per day, the United Arab Emirates with a production of 2,960,000 barrels per day , from Iran with a production of 2,870,000 barrels per day. and Kuwait with a production of 2,590,000 barrels per day ranks second to fifth in this regard.
