Iran's accession to BRICS requires draft law and parliamentary approval.
The President's Legal Assistant said: In the case of BRICS, the legal opinion is that despite the differences with the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and in accordance with the requirements and obligations, the bill must be approved by Parliament, and we have announced this issue to the relevant institutions .
 

Regarding how our country joined the BRICS agreement, Mohammad Dehghani said: Regarding Shanghai, 50 documents were presented to the parliament with the cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs within the framework of the bill, and the parliament also approved, and we officially joined the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
The President's Legal Assistant added: "There is also a legal opinion on BRICS, despite the differences with the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and according to the requirements and obligations, the bill must be approved in parliament, and we will announce this question. to the relevant institutions." We asked them to prepare the corresponding bill and send it to the government.
