In response to a question about the current status of the construction of the Persian Gulf Bridge, Hojjatullah Abdul Maliki said: All studies of the Persian Gulf Bridge have been completed and we are seeking financial resources for it.
He continued: Part of the financial resources will be provided by the Qeshm Free Zone, part will be provided through the budget bill in accordance with the President's order, and part will be provided by oil cleaning.
Stating that we are trying to put the Persian Gulf Bridge into operation within the next three years, Abdul Maleki informed about the negotiations with Chinese contractors and added: a number of these contractors expressed their readiness to finance this project, while during a conversation with the first vice president We suggested that the Persian Gulf bridge be considered as a credit line project of Iran and China, and he announced that this issue could be the subject of an investigation.
The Secretary of the Supreme Council of Free Zones emphasized the need to realize the Persian Gulf Bridge and said: I think that anyone who doubts this project either does not know the national interests or has other intentions.
He said: With the construction of the Persian Gulf Bridge, some ports in the southern Persian Gulf will lose their prosperity.
We must therefore be careful not to hinder the construction of this project.
Stating that Khatam camp is included in the project, Abdul Maleki responded to the question on the estimated construction costs of this project: According to estimates, around $700 million is required for the entire project with the completion of the port. , rail and road.
The Secretary of the Supreme Council of Free Zones said that the construction of the Persian Gulf Bridge has many long-term benefits for Iran: the physical progress of this project is currently 18%, which is progressing slowly.
