Hassanzadeh made the remarks during a meeting in Tehran on Tuesday with Belarusian Ambassador to Iran Dmitry Koltsov.
He said that the current $60 million annual trade between Tehran and Minsk is far behind the potentials.
The Iran Chamber of Commerce president noted that lacking information about the economic and trade potentials of each other is hindering more expanded relations between Iran and Belarus, calling on the Belarusian embassy to take more steps in this regard.
Hassanzadeh expressed hope that Belarus would reciprocate Iran’s unilateral cancellation of visa requirements for Belarusian people.
He voiced the readiness of Iran’s private sector to help the launch of direct flights between the two countries.
